What is your cancellation/late policy?
Full Refund – A minimum of 7 days advance notice is required for a refund. All refunds will incur a cancellation fee of $15 per ticket. No Refund – In case of cancellation without the required advance notice. No refund will be made for NO-SHOW. In the event you are more than 5 minutes late to the tour, we are sorry, but because of the tour schedule, you will have to forfeit your tour with no refund.
How do we book a tour?
You can go to Reservations and fill out form and we'll contact you, or you can call with your credit card info. If you prefer, you can request a Paypal invoice.
What are your hours?
We're here from 9am to 9pm every day.
Are there set times for each tour?
We can customize the start time for our walking tours, although generally they start at 3pm. The train tours start at 1.40pm.
How do we get a discount?
We often can offer special pricing on certain days/tours, and we give discounts to groups of 6 or more.
Can we book a private tour?
Private tours are available and can be arranged directly via email or telephone.
What's included in the tour ticket price?
Your ticket price includes all food and wine/beer. It does not include tour guide gratuity (15%-20% industry standard). Note: Pick up/drop off on our San Diego Wineries/Breweries Tours is included in that tour price.
Where do we meet? What should we wear?
Our beer/wine walking tours meet in the lobby of Empress Hotel: 7766 Fay Ave, La Jolla.
Walking Tours: Valet parking available at Empress Hotel for $5. Don’t park in 2 hr. spots.
Please wear walking shoes for our walking and train tours as we will be walking about 1-2 miles total.
Bring umbrella, if chance of rain, as our tours run rain or shine.
Can we get a ride to the tour start?
We have transportation options available to our walking/train tours for an additional price. Please call us for details.
Where do you suggest we stay?
We have partner hotels that we can recommend that offer our booked guests a discount. Please call us for details.
Is La Jolla Wine Tours a green business?
Absolutely! We support farm-to-table restaurants; local, organic foods; sustainable agriculture; environmentally-friendly and energy efficient business products and services.
How do you give back to the community?
A portion of our proceeds help San Diego’s underprivileged children and teens, and those in the community who are struggling with health and financial challenges.
